NETANYAHU VOWS TO INVADE RAFAH WITH OR WITHOUT A CEASEFIRE DEAL
Yesterday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made the chilling declaration that whether a ceasefire deal is reached or not, the Israeli military will invade Rafah. Since the beginning of its genocide, Israel has forced over 1.2 million Palestinians to flee their homes across Gaza to the small town of Rafah, where most are now living as refugees in tents. Now, Israel is threatening them again.
“We will enter Rafah… with or without a deal…,” Netanyahu vowed in an official statement released by his office.
For weeks, the world has urged Israel against attacking Palestinians in Rafah. Recently, the UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator stated, “The simplest truth is that a ground operation in Rafah will be nothing short of a tragedy beyond words."
The Biden administration, which has enabled Israel’s genocidal assault on Gaza, must take urgent and immediate action to stop this. Israel cannot be allowed to invade Rafah or continue its genocide in Gaza.
