"The Second Nakba", Stop Denying, This Is Our Pitiable Position Today

"THE SECOND NAKBA", STOP DENYING, THIS IS OUR PITIABLE POSITION TODAY

Most Muslims would have witnessed news that stated that "Islam had overtaken Roman Catholicism as the biggest single religious denomination in the world". We have been been hearing news about our numbers swelling quite regularly via the media. “Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world". However, after contemplating upon the contents of the following authentic hadeeth its reality jolted me as it should truly upset most Muslims. Yes we've surpassed the 2 billion mark yet we're like the scum (rubbish) carried down by the torrent. What an accurate prophesy made almost 1400 years ago.

▪︎We've become oppressed and ridiculed.
▪︎Muslim lands illegally expropriated.
▪︎Muslims wantonly assaulted, raped, killed.
▪︎Modern weapons of mass destruction tried and tested on Muslims, Muslim infants to be precise.
▪︎Muslim resources and property plundered.
▪︎Total carte blanche for the enemy.
▪︎Basic rights and freedom denied.
▪︎Muslims targeted stigmatized, traumatized and demonized. The list continues.

This is our current situation. This is our humiliation. The answer to this gloomy situation is within Islam, we should not look for strange, unislamic methods of rectification. If we do our situation will only get exacerbated. Before we go into further details let's read the hadeeth:

Sunan Abi Dawud 4297. Narrated Thawban (radiAllahuanhu): The Prophet (ﷺ) said: People will soon summon one another to attack you the way they would invite each other for a feast.

Someone asked: Will that be because of our small numbers at that time?

He (ﷺ) replied: No, you will be numerous (large in number) at that time: but you will be scum and rubbish that is carried down by a torrent. Allah will take fear of you from the breasts of your enemy and place wahn (enervation) into your hearts.

Someone asked: What is wahn (enervation). Messenger of Allah (ﷺ):

He (ﷺ) replied: Love of the world and dislike of death.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جَابِرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ السَّلاَمِ، عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ يُوشِكُ الأُمَمُ أَنْ تَدَاعَى عَلَيْكُمْ كَمَا تَدَاعَى الأَكَلَةُ إِلَى قَصْعَتِهَا ‏"‏ ‏.‏ فَقَالَ قَائِلٌ وَمِنْ قِلَّةٍ نَحْنُ يَوْمَئِذٍ قَالَ ‏"‏ بَلْ أَنْتُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ كَثِيرٌ وَلَكِنَّكُمْ غُثَاءٌ كَغُثَاءِ السَّيْلِ وَلَيَنْزِعَنَّ اللَّهُ مِنْ صُدُورِ عَدُوِّكُمُ الْمَهَابَةَ مِنْكُمْ وَلَيَقْذِفَنَّ اللَّهُ فِي قُلُوبِكُمُ الْوَهَنَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ فَقَالَ قَائِلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَا الْوَهَنُ قَالَ ‏"‏ حُبُّ الدُّنْيَا وَكَرَاهِيَةُ الْمَوْتِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Undue love for this world is not an appropriate attitude to prepare for the Hereafter. Our life is short, very short in this world. We were in fact given this world to prepare for the next, instead we have embraced it. The enemy is making sure that you love it more and extending to you all kinds of gadgetry and pleasure. The devil is also embellishing this world for you as much. The inevitable result of loving this world necessarily entails the following:

▪︎Getting sidetracked and neglecting our actual, real purpose in this world. We were created only for worship.
▪︎Neglecting the actual purpose is the result of not seeking proper, benificial knowledge. Not being connected to the true scholars. Ignorance amongst the nation of of Muhammad is appalling if not rampant. This is very disturbing.
▪︎We have become a nation not knowing our basic Islamic Aqeedah well. This alone is sufficient to be subjected to persistent humiliation.
▪︎We have become a nation who are able to converge at particular place at short notice with a strength of 1000 people for a protest march but cannot fill one row for the Fajr Salah in the local mosque. This is a calamity.
▪︎We are the most factionalized, each faction competing with the other but the reality is both are equally ignorant.
▪︎We have no issue imitating the kuffaar in almost everything they we do and aspire towards. This has reached alarming proportions.
▪︎We have become ashamed of showing our actual Islamic identity and personality.

As Sh Muhammad Nasiruddeen Al-Albaani (rahimahullah) had said many times the solution is At Tasfiyah (Purification) and At Tarbiyah (Cultivation). Purify all the faults and mistakes and replace it with the Sunnah.

We have seen most Muslims contribute to the Israeli economy by using their services and products. The majority of these products are not new to many of us. And some of these have become a part of our daily lives, meaning we indirectly give them so much revenue.

And in return, the same revenue is being used to haunt innocent citizens of Palestine. The same revenue ends in the destruction of homes with innocent civilians inside.
