WHO WAS MUHAMMAD ﷺ
The one who despite having lost his father before being born, his mother when he was a child, his grandfather who raised him two years later.
Then buried six of his children. He taught us to be patient and to have faith in Allah.
The one who used to pray during the night until his feet were swollen, even though all his sins were forgiven; he said, "Should I not be a grateful servant?"
The one who was insulted, abused, his integrity was questioned; he was defied by his society and when it was said to him to pray against them, he said: "Verily, I was not sent to invoke curses, but rather I was only sent as mercy".
A funeral passed by the Messenger of Allah and he stood up. It was said to him, "It is a Jew". The Prophet said, "Was he not a soul?"
The one who taught us not to lose hope and faith in Allah, he said: "If the Final Hour comes while you have a shoot of a plant in your hands and it is possible to plant it before the Hour comes, you should plant it."
He who cried for us without having seen us and the one who will be our intercessor on the Day when everyone will say "Nafsi, Nafsi" (myself, myself) except him who will only care about us and say "Ummati, Ummati" (my people, my people).
He never disrespected a woman. When he was at home and there was nothing to eat, he would say to his wife: "I will fast this day."
Send your Salawat upon our Beloved, the most beautiful of creation.
Allah Almighty make compulsory and directs all the believers to ask Him to award Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) from His Blessings and Tranquility. This act of asking Allah Almighty to show His favor and protection to Prophet ﷺ is known as “Durood.” It is basically a form of a prayer, which all the Muslims are obligated to say on hearing, reading or speaking the name of the Holy Prophet ﷺ in order to pay Him respect or praise in the most rightful manner.
It is also the way of fulfilling one`s religious duty of adoring Muhammad ﷺ as Anas (RA) has narrated in Sahih Bukhari: “None of you will have faith till he loves me more than his father, his children, and all mankind.”
(Bukhari)
