Second Judoka Quits Tokyo Olympics to shun Israeli opponent
Muhammad Abdul Rasul from Sudan has become the second Judoka to quit the Tokyo Olympics after Fethi Nourine after they were matched up or on course to compete against an Israeli opponent. Well done to them. May Allah bless them with even more success.
Initially I was on the fence and wasn't sure if it was a good move or if I'd have preferred them to put their opponent through the mat. But actually, it is a good move because once again it brings wide-spread media attention to the Palestinian cause and encourages more people to boycott Israel.
This is how these athletes can make a stand and raise their voices too. There's many ways and boycotting is one of them.
