Eid-ul-Adha Mubarak 1442 /2021
Assalamu Alaikum Warahmathullahi Wabarakathuhu.
Peace, Mercy and Blessings of God be With You
On this blessed day of Arafath, 9th day of Dhul Hajj Month, we would like to convey a message of solidarity and peace to all.
The Eid-ul- Adha festival marks the end of the Hajj pilgrimage in Mecca. The Hajj pilgrimage helps us remember that we are all human and that our diversity of race and culture is a cause for celebration. And within that celebration is an understanding of our shared universal principles.
The Hajj is also the ultimate lesson for finding common ground with our Christian friends, as the inspiration for this pilgrimage is the story of Prophet Abraham (PBUH), making Eid ul Adha symbolic for both Christians and Jews, leaving much room to explore our shared heritage.
The Hajj teaches us to come back to the very essence of the message of the respective faiths: respect and love of human beings as a manifestation of the love for the Almighty. Therefore, Hajj brings us a great opportunity to connect with people of all faiths including Buddhists, Christians and Hindus as children of one father and mother.
On this day we also remind ourselves of the message in the Last Sermon, delivered by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on Arafat Day, that speaks of the sacredness of life and property, equality, justice, and peace.
May Allah accept our prayers on this holy day of Arafat and bring peace, prosperity and harmony to our lives and those around us.
