THE MUSLIM COMMUNITY IS STRUGGLING TO COPE WITH TODAY'S CHALLENGES
It would not be a mistake if it was the result of something sown twenty or thirty years ago.
We have seen a massive setback in matters that need to be approached diplomatically. In addition, we are spiritually divided day by day and traveling aimlessly.
There is no point in blaming each other for the past. We need to set beautiful paths for our next generation. What we saw today will be reaped 20 years later by our descendants. We believe that worldly life is unpredictable. Islam does not tell us to spend our days in vain for that. To leave the beautiful land for the next generation. Political guidance, in particular, and spiritual consensus are essential.
We must unite to eliminate party differences, operational struggles, territorial disputes, industrial and class fluctuations. It is only by uniting us as Sri Lankans beyond being Islamists that we can ensure the conditions for future generations to live in this country.
Today we are baffled that modern challenges do not fit into the political machinations. Therefore, based on the history of Sri Lanka and the course of the world, we can guess what kind of world the rest of our world will be. You just have to be more discriminating with the help you render toward other people.
It is necessary to act very responsibly in the use of social media. In addition, exemplary personal discipline has fallen in public and in public and private institutions. I hope this can only be fixed spiritually. Therefore, proper religious guidance is essential. In the past guidelines we have slipped somewhere or acted as a scapegoat not to absorb it. So we have to reconsider our position.
There is a need to understand and act on each other. There is a difference between the mentality of those living in the East and the Muslim-majority areas and the mentality of Muslims living in other areas. Muslims living in one place should think and act in relation to the existence of Muslims living with other religions and ethnicities. It is very relevant to political platforms. That is where many problems arise. They themselves then erupt into epic violence.
We need to understand and act on the fact that we live as a minority in a multi-ethnic environment on Sri Lankan soil. We do not want our next generation to live in slavery in this country. Therefore, it is our massive responsibility to build a beautiful nation for them. Those with these thoughts are scattered. The major drawback is that there is no focal point that unites them. So, be prepared to act responsibly using today’s social media as a platform for that. We will move forward with solid goals for the future of Sri Lanka.
