SAUDI ARABIA & ALLIES END BLOCKADE ON QATAR
SOME GOOD BUT UNEXPECTED NEWS
Saudi Arabia and its allies have finally ended their blockade on Qatar which started in June 2017. Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, and Bahrain cut off diplomatic relations with Qatar in 2017 and imposed a blockade cutting of many land, air, and sea routes for Qatar. The Qatari Emir met with Prince Bin Salman today at the GCC Summit in Saudi Arabia.
In 2017 even Sheikh Salman al-Awdah was detained for refusing to speak in support of the Saudi blockade of Qatar. Even now he is still in detention with his health declining and could face the death penalty as his trial has been postponed many times.
I'm curious what the real reason is now for Saudi Arabia to life the blockade. Not the media reason, but the real reason which isn't usually told publicly.
