It has been reported that the Hon. Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa has advised to select a suitable place to bury the dead bodies of the Islamists.
If that is true, then there is about ten acres of land allotted for a Muslim public center in the Majma Nagar area bordering Ottamawadi Divisional Secretariat, Koralaipatru West.
The people of our area have no objection to burying it. The groundwater is about 30 feet deep and very close to the uninhabited main road to Colombo-Batticaloa.
Please bring to the notice of the Hon'ble Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa the concerned authorities to use the relevant place where the converts are not involved either administratively or through private residence.
If personnel are needed to carry out the burial work, we will be ready for that as well. We also have a vehicle to carry the janazas.
We do not rule Sri Lanka. We ask for permission to live in Sri Lanka and to be buried according to our religious rites after living as a Sri Lankan citizen.
