Conducted between Sri Lanka and Japan
The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) has announced that Sri Lankan youth with special abilities in 14 fields have been given the opportunity to pursue new career opportunities in Japan under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The decision was taken during an online discussion between 18 Japanese representatives led by the Assistant Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Justice of Japan and senior officials of the Bureau headed by Kamal Ratwatte, Chairman of the Sri Lanka Overseas Employment Bureau.

In line with the Memorandum of Understanding signed on 19 June 2019, Sri Lankan youth with special abilities in 14 fields have been given the opportunity for new career opportunities in Japan.
As per the Memorandum of Understanding between the two countries Applications are currently being solicited through the Sri Lanka Overseas Employment Bureau website slbfe.lk (Click Here To Visit) and a large number of young men and women are registering for job opportunities in Japan.
Passing the Japanese language proficiency test at JLPT level 4 (N4 level) is mandatory for career opportunities with these special abilities. Only young women between the ages of 18 and 48 can apply for career opportunities, taking into account their energy and experience in 14 specialized fields in addition to the language test.
