A far-right politician, Guillaume Peltier, in France's national assembly has tabled a bill that would result in "internment camps" for Muslims.
Were the bill to become law it would result in "interning" French citizens who are on so-called radicalisation list and would see them being officially sent to "administrative detention centres."
This law is being considered in the French assembly which could see camps set up to house people that have not comittered crimes, but are considered "Radical" by the French state.
There is no definition of what radical really is. According to France wearing a Niqab us radical and homeschooling your children is radical, and seeing Islam as superior to the French Republic is radical, so there is a lot that could go wrong here.
This has not been put into law or anything like that, but a far right political in France has tables this bill and it's something that will be discussed and considered in Parliament.
In recent months, things have only gotten worse for Muslims, as Muslim charities and human rights organisations have been shut down, and many peoples houses have been raised, some schools and mosques also shut down.
And for those of you in the comments who think this can't be true, the bill can literally be seen on the French national assembly site, I've just had a look myself. And TRT world have an article on this too along with human rights activists speaking about it.
