10.12.2020 Thursday
The important meeting held in the Parliament today, Thursday (10) in connection with the cremation of the janazas of the Muslims, ended without any favors.
The talks between Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakse and Muslim MPs representing parliament this evening were attended by ruling party parliamentarians and health officials.
However, no positive conclusions were reached at the meeting regarding the conduct of the janaza.
However, the only consensus was that a new panel of experts would be appointed to look into the matter.
MP Mujibur Rahman said he was not allowed to take part in the talks despite being a Muslim MP.
